About Gulf Shield Technologies
Gulf Shield Technologies is a software products company. We build tools, SaaS, and utilities for developers, teams, and the people who care about how their tools are built.
Our work is engineered deliberately and shipped with care. The first product in the catalog is Canopy — a self-hosted code intelligence platform that gives AI coding agents structural understanding of your codebase, with twenty-one MCP tools for search, dependency analysis, ownership maps, and health checks. Canopy runs locally; your code never leaves your machine.
We're bootstrapped. There's no investor pressure on what to ship next, no growth-at-all-costs mandate, no quarterly story to tell. Products are closed-source and license-driven, in the JetBrains mold — you own a key, you run the binary, the source stays with us. Where there's a free tier (Canopy's Community Mode), it's a real capability-limited preview, not a teaser to bait you into giving us your data.
